Crosby, TX – Earl Mangum Killed In KMCO Explosion

Crosby, TX (April 3, 2019) – On Tuesday, April 2, an explosion occurred at the KMCO Chemical plant in Crosby.

The incident occurred when a chemical called Isobutylene sparked a fire at the facility. One man, who has been identified as 27-year-old Earl Mangum, from Daisetta, was killed in the explosion. Two other victims remain hospitalized from injuries sustained in this incident.
