Gilmer, TX (April 4, 2019) – Around 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision on State Highway 300/Gilmer Road in Upshur County.

The incident occurred at the intersection of TX-300 and Farm-to-Market Road 726 when two vehicles collided at the intersection. One person died as the result of injuries sustained in the incident. At this time, we are unsure of the extent of injuries sustained by others involved in this tragic incident.
