DUI Accidents in Texas
Unfortunately, studies show that 40 percent of all fatal vehicle accidents in Texas are caused by drunk driving, making it the state with the highest number of DUI accidents. The reason why drivers who are under the influence are more prone to causing an accident is due to the fact that excessive alcohol decreases the body’s central nervous system’s ability to function properly. This leads to slowed reaction times and blurred vision, making drivers more likely to crash into other vehicles.
