Angus, TX – Anand Lakhram Injured In 2-Car Collision On I-45, 1 Killed
Angus, TX (April 11, 2019) – On April 10, around 3:10 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a collision on the northbound side of Interstate 45.
According to DPS, a white 2005 Volvo semi-truck, driven by Anand Lakhram, was hauling a white 2015 Wabash semi-truck in the center lanes of northbound Interstate 45. Construction in the roadway forced Mr. Lakhram to stop his vehicle to prepare for a merger. The driver of a white 2017 Dodge Ram utility truck, which was also heading north along I-45, failed to notice the semi-truck stopped in the roadway and, as a result, rear-ended the stopped vehicle.
The driver of the Dodge ram utility truck was transported to Navarro Regional Hospital where they later succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.
Anand Lakhram was transported to Navarro Regional Hospital for treatment.
