Austin, TX – Male Killed In Pedestrian Accident On South Interstate 35

Austin, TX (June 5, 2019) – On June 3, just before 5:40 a.m., Austin Police Department and emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in the 12000 block of South Interstate 35.

Preliminary investigations surrounding the incident show that a 2002 silver Mercedes was traveling south along Interstate 35 when the driver of the vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding crews.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement agencies. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
