Arlington, TX – 3 Killed in DUI Accident on I-20
Arlington, TX (June 8, 2019) – On the evening of June 6th, a fatal DUI accident happened on Interstate 20, not far from Matlock Road. The accident took place around 11:00 p.m.
A car had somehow become disabled in the eastbound lanes of the highway and the driver got out and called for help. Another vehicle stopped behind the disabled car, and two people got out to provide aside. A car collided into the second parked car, which threw the two individuals over a guardrail. The impact caused the disabled vehicle to catch on fire, and unfortunately, there was still an occupant inside.
When the paramedics arrived to help, they found the two people who had been thrown over the guardrail dead at the scene. The occupant inside of the disabled vehicle also passed away.
Authorities arrested the 29-year-old driver who crashed into the two vehicles. He has been identified as Jose Castro and has been charged with driving under the influence and manslaughter.
