Castle Hills, TX – 4 Injured and 1 Killed in Car Accident on Loop 410
Castle Hills, TX (June 9, 2019) On the morning of June 9th, a fatal car accident happened on Loop 410. Two police officers were stopped on Loop 410 tending to an accident when a truck rear-ended the back of the police car. One of the officers saw the accident approaching and jumped over the wall in an attempt to avoid being hurt but ended up falling on the frontage road. The truck then crashed into the truck that had originally been in the accident that the officers were tending to.
When the paramedics arrived to help everyone involved, they found that two other men had also jumped the wall to avoid getting hit by the truck. A total of five people had sustained injuries because of the accident. Sadly, a woman had been hit by the truck and sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The ambulance rushed the two police officers and the two other men to University Hospital for immediate treatment.
The police are investigating the accident and running a sobriety test to determine whether alcohol was a contributing factor.
Our thoughts are with all four injured victims as well as the family of the deceased woman.
Vehicle Accidents in Texas
Whenever vehicles collide into other stopped vehicles that have hazard lights on, the cause is often drivers not paying attention or being under the influence. When drivers are distracted or drunk, they’re more prone to miss out on quick details regarding their surroundings, which ultimately puts them and others in danger of potentially losing their lives.
At Benton Law Firm, we continuously help families every year file wrongful death lawsuits after losing their loved ones in vehicle accidents.
