Gregg County, TX – Crash On FM 3053 Results In Fatal Injuries
Gregg County, TX (June 11, 2019) – On Saturday, June 8, Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 3053.
According to reports, 76-year-old Catarino Gallardo Mata was traveling west along Country Road 2729 in an SUV when he ran a stop sign at the intersection for FM 3053.
In doing so, Mata’s vehicle was struck by a truck traveling north, which was driven by 50-year-old Robert Jon Martin.
Mata was transported to a hospital In Tyler, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Martin and three juveniles in his vehicle were transported to area hospitals and treated for minor injuries.
