Wood County, TX (June 13, 2019) – Around 10:30 a.m. on June 13, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a plane crash in the 2400 block of Farm to Market Road 2869.

According to reports, an Ercoupe model 415-C fixed wing single-engine plane crashed for unknown reasons in a field behind the Holly Lake Car Wash.

The two occupants of the plane were both injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. At this time, the cause of the incident remains under investigation.

Crews set a perimeter around the crash site due to fuel leakage from the plane.
