Lufkin, TX – One Injured In Crash On FM 2108 & US 59 South
Lufkin, TX (June 14, 2019) – On June 13, around 4 p.m., emergency crews in Lufkin responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of FM 2108 and US 59 South.
Reports from the incident show that an 18-wheeler and a Chevrolet Silverado collided along the southbound lane of the highway. The impact from the collision caused the Silverado to flip over, sustaining heavy damage as it came to rest along the roadway.
The driver of the Silverado sustained serious injuries in the collision and was airlifted to a hospital in Tyler for treatment. No other persons were injured in this collision.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
