Vehicle Accidents in Texas
Every year in the United States about 6,500 collisions involve ambulance trucks. About 60 percent of these accidents occur when an ambulance is heading to an emergency. Around 35 percent of these accidents result in at least one serious injury or fatality. Often times, these types of accidents occur because ambulance trucks are usually speeding to their destination. Other cars are generally expected to yield to the right-of-way of ambulances, especially since the truck is speeding and swerving through traffic. When smaller vehicles collide with ambulance trucks, often times the occupants in the smaller vehicle sustain the more serious injuries.
