Park Springs, TX (June 16, 2019) On the afternoon of June 14th, a head-on collision happened on Texas 101 in the southbound lanes. A 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling on the highway when it somehow veered passed the center line and crashed head-on with a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck. The 2002 Chevrolet then collided with a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz right after.

When the ambulance arrived at the scene, they found the driver of the 2002 Chevrolet dead in his vehicle. The driver of the 2000 Chevrolet sustained injuries and was rushed to Medical City Dental Hospital. He has been identified as 53-year-old Harold E. Norris.

The police are still investigating to determine what caused the head-on collision.

Our thoughts are with the deceased driver’s family at this time. We also send positive thoughts to Harold Norris as he recovers from his injuries.

Head-On Collisions in Texas

Studies show that if a car is traveling faster that 43 miles per hour, the chances of surviving a head-on collision are extremely slim. The reason these accidents occur is usually due to distracted driving, drunk driving, or malfunctioning auto parts that cause vehicles to veer into opposite lanes.
