Big Springs, TX – Woman Injured In Collision On 3rd & Owens

Big Springs, TX (June 18, 2019) – On June 16, Big Springs Police department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident just before 6 a.m. at the intersection of 3rd Street and Owens.

Although details surrounding the full sequence of events are unavailable at this time, reports indicate that a woman in a Toyota Highlander collided with a telephone pole for unknown reasons. The woman exited her vehicle to assess the incident when she was run over by another vehicle.

Big Springs Police determined that Edward Aguilar struck the Toyota Highlander then ran over the female as she exited her vehicle near the intersection.

The injured woman was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center for treatment.

Aguilar has since been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
