Weatherford, TX – Woman & Baby Killed In Collision On FM 51
Weatherford, TX (June 18, 2019) – On June 16, the Texas Department of Public Safety and numerous other agencies responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 51.
According to reports, a vehicle was traveling north along FM 51 when it crossed over the center median. As the vehicle crossed over to the southbound side, it struck a Nissan vehicle head-on. The driver of the Nissan was treated and released from the scene of the incident.
The passenger in the Nissan, a pregnant 22-year-old female, was transported to Harris downtown hospital. Within three hours after arriving to the facility, the woman succumbed to her injuries. The child she was carrying died as well in the incident.
A 2-year-old child in the back seat of the Nissan sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The driver of the first vehicle sustained minor injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
