Elmo, TX – Three injured In Collision On Interstate 20

Elmo, TX (June 19, 2019) – On June 18, at around 6:40 p.m., the Elmo Fire Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 20 just two miles east of Farm to Market Road 429.

Reports from the incident show that a passenger car was traveling down the roadway when it was struck from behind by an SUV. The sedan became disabled in the middle of the highway before catching on fire.

The impact of the collision caused the SUV to roll off the shoulder of the highway. Firefighters responded to the scene of a put out the fire.

Three victims were injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment via CareFlite.

At this time, the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
