Aransas County, TX – Two Killed In Collision On State Highway 35

Aransas County, TX (June 20, 2019) – Around 5:30 a.m. on June 19 emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 35 just north of Holiday Beach.

Preliminary reports from the incident show that 27-year-old Daniel Aaron Olvera was traveling north on State Highway 35 in a 1999 Chevy Silverado. As Olvera attempted to pass another northbound vehicle, he crossed over into the southbound lanes of the highway.

While Olvera was in the southbound lane, his vehicle was struck by a 2015 Ford F-250, which was driven by 62-year-old Glen Franklin Pierce.

Both Pierce and Olvera sustained fatal injuries in the collision and were pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the families of both Mr. Daniel Arron Olvera and Mr. Glen Franklin Pierce.  Our thoughts are with them at this time.
