Port Arthur, TX – Bicyclist Injured In Collision in the 3800 Gulfway
Port Arthur, TX (June 20, 2019) – At approximately 7 p.m. on June 19, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 3800 block of Gulfway Drive near Ninth Avenue.
Reports from the incident indicate that a woman bicyclist was traveling along the roadway. For unknown reasons, the bicycle entered into the roadway.
The driver of an oncoming vehicle swerved to avoid hitting her but ended up clipping the bike. The impact of the collision sent the bicyclist flying from her bike.
The female sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
