Fort Bend, TX (June 21, 2019) – On June 20, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Bissonnet and Hodges Bend.

Reports indicate that an 8-year-old child was crossing the roadway when a driver in an older dark gray Nissan Altima ran a stop sign. The driver struck the child with their vehicle and fled the scene of the incident.

The child sustained critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital
