In 2016, approximately 484 people lost their lives in big rig accidents in Texas. Although federal rules and regulations require all truck drivers to avoid certain activities while driving, accidents still occur on the road for various reasons. Sometimes truck drivers take their eyes off of the road for a few moments and end up causing major collisions. Other times drivers are fatigued after driving for too long. Sometimes there are serious mechanical errors while truck drivers are on the road. No matter what, those involved in big rig accidents are at huge risk of sustaining serious injuries.
