Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
Sadly, hit-and-run accidents occur every day in Texas. The leading cause of these accidents vary, but it’s always negligence. Drivers are either distracted or under the influence at the time of the accident, and once they hit a pedestrian, they flee the scene out of fear. Usually, drivers who don’t stay and help are criminals who are on probation or have warrants out for their arrests. They could also be on their way from just committing a crime and can’t risk being caught by authorities, causing them to drive aggressively and strike pedestrians.
No matter the reason, it’s important for families who have lost loved ones in pedestrian accidents to file wrongful death lawsuits. At Benton Law Firm, we specialize in these lawsuits and have helped numerous families over the past two decades win their cases. Call our office today for a free consultation at 214-219-4878.
