Chamber County, TX – Jacob Vernon Breaux Arrested For Boat Crash
Chamber County, TX (June 25, 2019) – On June 23, just before 8 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a boat accident in the Old and Lost River near Interstate 10.
According to reports, a ski boat and a bass fishing boat collided on the water. As a result of the collision, two people sustained fatal wounds and were pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. These two victims were identified as 36-year-old William Robert Bowles and 48-year-old Laura Kay Grant.
A third victim, 29-year-old Zachary Jackson Miles, was transported to Hermann Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. All three victims were on the fishing boat.
Four additional people involved in the collision were injured.
Reports from authorities indicate that the driver of one of the boats, 23-year-old Jacob Vernon Breaux, was arrested and charged with three counts of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle.
At this time, two injured victims remain in critical condition.
