Lubbock, TX – 2 Injured in Car Accident on North I-27
Lubbock, TX (June 30, 2019) On the evening of June 30th, a car accident happened in the 7800 block of North I-27, just north of Regis. An SUV was involved in the collision that left it hanging on the side of the road, not far from a FedEx shipping center. The accident happened at around 5:30 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found two female occupants trapped inside of the SUV. Once they were extricated, both of them were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. One of them sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Crews had to help remove the vehicle off of the highway. As they worked to clean up the collision, they forced all traffic to exit at the Keuka exit.
The police are currently investigating what led up to the collision.
Our thoughts are with the two injured women as we wish them both a full recovery.
