El Paso, TX – Soldier Struck & Killed By Car On Montana Avenue
El Paso, TX (July 2, 2019) – On Tuesday, July 2, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 9700 block of Montana Avenue.
Reports from the scene indicate that 23-year-old Readus Moore Jr. was shopping for a vehicle at a car lot in east El Paso when 63-year-old Farhad Moraveg lost control of a Jeep he was relocating across an adjacent car long. In doing so, Moraveg triggered a three-vehicle crash that caused one vehicle to crash into the building across the street where Moore was located.
Moore became pinned between the building and the vehicle, causing serious injuries. One other customer and a worker were also struck in the incident.
The three individuals were transported to area hospitals for treatment where Moore later succumbed to his injuries.
Moraveg was also injured in the collision and transported to University Medical Center for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
