Angelina County, TX – Melody Wallace Harmed in Truck Wreck on US-69 at Briar Village St

Angelina County, TX (July 4, 2019) – Local sources reported that a two-vehicle collision resulted in the injury of someone involved on Wednesday, July 3rd. The accident happened in the morning at 7:42 a.m. on US-69 near Briar Village St. near Lufkin. 

It was reported by authorities that Charles Evans of Lufkin was driving a 2003 Peterbilt semi-trailer southbound on the highway at an unsafe speed. When Evans attempted to change lanes, he struck a 2017 Dodge driven by 47-year-old Melody Wallace of Pollok. 

Evans had a cargo of logs which spilled over the roadway after the crash. 

Wallace was transported to a hospital in Lufkin for medical treatment. 

Evans was not injured in the accident, and the collision resulted in roadway delays.

The crash is currently under investigation at this time.
