Lufkin, TX (July 5, 2019) – Local news reported that a man was hospitalized after being injured in a multi-car crash in Lufkin. The accident happened early Wednesday morning, July 4th, around 5:45 a.m. on TX-103.

Reports state the crash involved three vehicles.

33-year-old Collins Lafosse Jr. was driving a 2016 Dodge pickup truck west on the highway when the driver veered into oncoming traffic in the eastbound lane, striking a 2016 Nissan SUV driven by 69-year-old Alton Craig. Due to the crash, the Dodge rolled over, striking another oncoming vehicle, a 2008 Dodge pickup driven by 47-year-old Juan Palacios.

Alton was transported to CHI St. Luke’s in Lufkin for medical assistance.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
