Corpus Christi, TX – Police Investigate 2 Car Wrecks Linked To Shooting on Marguerite St & 19th St

Corpus Christi, TX (July 7, 2019) – Police are investigating a shooting that has been linked to two separate car accidents on Saturday night, July 6th.  Authorities say shots were fired and that the crashes subsequently occurred.

At around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, an officer near Memorial Hospital was flagged down by a pedestrian, who said that shots had been fired on 19th Street near  Marguerite Street.

Further investigation linked the shooting with a motor vehicle crash on Marguerite Street and a second crash that police say was an intentional crash occurred on North 19th Street close to a park.

Minor injuries were reported in the accident and a male driver has been arrested in connection with the accidents, as well as, a second individual who was arrested for city warrants.

The three related incidents are under investigation, and those with information are urged call police at 361-886-2600.
