Jasper County, TX – 2 Harmed In Head-On Crash On TX-62

Jasper County, TX (July 8, 2019) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed that two were injured in a head-on collision in Jasper County on TX-62. The incident took place on Sunday, July 7th, around 12:30 p.m. in Buna. 

DPS reports that a 2018 Dodge Charger was traveling southbound on TX-62 when the driver veered into the northbound lane to pass a slow-moving vehicle ahead. The driver ultimately collided head-on with a 1989 Toyota pickup truck. 

The driver of the Toyota was airlifted to Baptist Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

The Dodge driver was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital for medical treatment. 

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
