Pecos County, TX – Man Fatally Struck On I-10 Near Fort Stockton

Pecos County, TX (July 10, 2019) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has reported that a man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in Pecos County near Fort Stockton. The accident happened on Tuesday, July 9th, at around 4:30 p.m. 

The man was walking along Interstate 10 when he was struck by an eastbound Toyota. The driver then veered off the road and came to a stop in a ditch. 

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. 

The driver of the Toyota was taken to Pecos County Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

An investigation into the crash is currently underway.
