Arlington, TX – Officer Injured In DUI Crash On Interstate 30

Arlington, TX (July 12, 2019)  – On July 10, emergency crews and the Arlington Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 30 involving one of their own.

Reports from the incident indicate that an Arlington Police Officer was standing next to a motorcycle while conducting a traffic stop when an SUV drifted into the side of the motorcycle.

The officer was caught in the path, sustaining injuries as a result. The injured officer was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment immediately following the incident.

The driver of the SUV, who was identified as 25-year-old Christina Jordan Carpenter, sustained some minor injuries in the collision. Carpenter was arrested for driving under the influence.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
