Upton County, TX (July 12, 2019) – On July 11, just after 6:30 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on RM 1555.
According to reports, multiple vehicles collided along the roadway for unspecified reasons. The incident resulted in a major closure of the road and extensive damage to vehicles involved.
Numerous people involved in the collision were injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment.
One person involved in the collision was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
