Upton County, TX – Oliver Rodriguez Killed and 3 Injured in Truck Accident on FM 1555
Upton County, TX (July 13, 2019) On the afternoon of July 11th, a two-car crash happened on FM 1555. A 2002 International truck was traveling eastbound on the road when its tire blew out and caused the truck driver to lose control and end up in the westbound lane. Unfortunately, the truck collided with a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado that carried two occupants. The accident happened at around 5:30 p.m.
When the paramedics and other emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found one of the occupants in the Chevrolet dead. He has been identified as 24-year-old Oliver Rodriguez. Sadly, he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Both drivers sustained injuries and were rushed to Shannon Medical Center Hospital in San Angelo for immediate care. The passenger in the truck was transported to Upton County Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are still investigating the crash to figure out why the truck’s tire blew out.
