Fort Worth, TX – 2 Injured in Pedestrian Accident on 2nd Avenue

Fort Worth, TX (July 14, 2019) On the evening of July 14th, a pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of 2nd  Avenue and Houston Street. A trolley owned by Trinity Metro struck two pedestrians at the intersection for unknown reasons. Witnesses state that when the male pedestrian was hit, he hung onto the trolley to prevent from falling underneath. However, the woman was already underneath the trolley after being hit.

When the paramedics and other emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found both of the adults seriously injured at the scene. Both injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police are still investigating to determine who will be held at fault for the accident.

Our thoughts are with both of the injured victims as they begin recovering.

Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Fort Worth, TX - 2 Injured in Pedestrian Accident on 2nd AvenueUnfortunately, pedestrians are struck every day in Texas for many reasons, mainly because of aggressive driving. In fact, drivers who run red lights cause half of pedestrian fatalities. Most drivers run red lights because they’re speeding, driving under the influence, or driving distracted. When pedestrians are hit by vehicles traveling at high speeds, there’s a high chance that they will not survive their injuries.
