Truck Accidents in Texas
Over 500,000 truck accidents occur annually nationwide. Truck accidents can occur for different reasons, but the top causes are fatigue, distractions, and mechanical errors. Because these are so common amongst truck drivers, to prevent accidents the federal government requires that truck companies enforce each driver to complete a log sheet. The log sheet must state how many hours worked, how many breaks are taken, thorough inspections of the truck, and more. Log sheets are supposed to prevent drivers from overworking and making sure the truck is in excellent condition before hitting the road.
