Howard County, TX – Joseph Roczniak Killed In Interstate 20 Crash
Howard County, TX (July 16, 2019) – On July 10, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 20 just 10 miles west of Big Spring.
Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety indicate that Randall Beard was traveling west along Interstate 20 in a semi-truck when he failed to control his speed. As a result, his vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Jetta, which was driven by Devin Grier.
The semi-truck then collided with a Kia Rio, which was driven by Joseph Roczniak. The impact of the collision forced the Kia into a Dodge Ram Pickup truck on the roadway.
The semi then drifted across the center lines before colliding with a second semi-truck, which was eastbound.
Roczniak sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
Grier and Beard were both injured in the incident and transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center for treatment to injuries.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
