San Angelo, TX – Officer Injured In Crash On E Concho Ave

San Angelo, TX (July 17, 2019) – On July 17, emergency crews and the San Angelo Police Department reported to the scene o fa motor vehicle collision on East Concho Avenue near South Oakes Street.

According to reports, a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling west along East Concho Avenue when the vehicle crossed over into the eastbound lane. After crossing over, the Tahoe collided with two unmarked San Angelo Police Department Vehicles.

The driver of the Tahoe fled the scene of the crash but was later apprehended and detained.

One officer injured in this collision was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
