Motorcycle Accidents in Texas
In 2016, statistics indicate that almost 700 motorcyclists lost their lives on Texas roads. The leading cause of most motorcycle accidents that occur at intersections is vehicles turning left in front of oncoming motorcyclists, ultimately failing to yield them the right-of-way. Aggressive driving, distracted driving, and drunk driving are often what causes drivers to fail to yield the right-of-way. Because motorcycles are significantly smaller than passenger vehicles and trucks, riders are at a high risk of obtaining major injuries that could lead to fatalities after being hit by vehicles.
