Austin, TX – Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Car Crash on E William Cannon Dr

Austin, TX (July 21, 2019) On the afternoon of July 20th, a hit-and-run car crash happened in the 4500 block of East William Cannon Drive. A white Lincoln Navigator rear-ended a vehicle and pushed it 20-feet into a creek. A witness followed the culprit to Branchwood and Bucks Run, which is where the driver left the vehicle and fled on foot. The suspected driver is a Hispanic man in his 20s. The accident happened at approximately 2:26 p.m.

When the police and paramedics arrived at the scene to help, they found the female driver suffering from cuts on her arm, along with pain in her chest and shoulders. The paramedics transported her to the closest available hospital for treatment.

The police found the driver at his residence, which was about two blocks away from where he left his vehicle. He has been identified as 25-year-old Brayan Bustillo, and he was arrested and charged with failure to stop, and failure to render aid.

Our thoughts are with the injured woman as she receives treatment for her injuries.
