Dallas, TX – 1 Killed and 2 Injured in Wrong-Way Collision on Garland Rd
Dallas, TX (July 21, 2019) On the evening of July 20th, a wrong-way collision happened close to 8500 Garland Road. A vehicle was traveling southbound on Garland Road when it crossed the median and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle headed northbound. The accident took place at about 10:35 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they found the wrong-way driver with fatal injuries. There were two occupants in the other vehicle that sustained injuries and were rushed to the closest hospital for immediate assistance. Fortunately, their injuries have not been deemed life-threatening. Although the names of the injured victims have not been released yet, they are both confirmed to be 34 years old.
The police are currently investigating the collision to determine how the vehicle ended up in the wrong lanes.
