San Benito, TX – Willie Lee Williams Killed On Frontage Road

San Benito, TX (July 23, 2019) – On July 21, just after 12:40 a.m., San Benito police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Frontage Road near the intersection of Stephanie Lane.

According to reports, police received calls regarding a man laying alongside Frontage Road.

Police arrived at the scene and located the victim, who was later identified as 46-year-old Willie Lee Williams Jr., along the road. Williams was pronounced deceased at the scene of the road.

The driver responsible for the incident fled the scene without stopping.

Surveillance cameras from the area show a maroon passenger car, possibly a Nissan Sentra, striking the victim before fleeing.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
