Lone Oak, TX – Victims Killed In Highway 69 Crash Identified
Lone Oak, TX (July 25, 2019) – On Sunday, July 21, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 69 near Whelan Road.
According to reports, around 6:30 p.m., Harold Thompson was traveling south in a silver Jeep along the Highway. For unknown reasons, Thompson’s vehicle entered into the northbound lane, where it collided head-on with a Grand Caravan driven by Beverley Barton.
Barton sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Thompson was seriously injured and airlifted to Medical City Plano, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
