Westbrook, TX – Jason Edmond Covington Killed In Crash On I-20
Westbrook, TX (July 26, 2019) – On July 24, at approximately 6:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident along Interstate 20.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 38-year-old Jason Edmond Covington was traveling across Interstate 20 on food when he was struck by a motor vehicle, which was headed east driving by 40-year-old Michael Heath Blair.
Covington sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Blair was injured in the collision and transported to Mitchell County hospital for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
