Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
In 2018, approximately 621 pedestrians lost their lives in Texas after being hit by vehicles. When pedestrians are hit by vehicles in the middle of the night during the weekend, it’s often due to drunk drivers. When drivers are under the influence, they’re more likely to have trouble seeing and they’re also more inclined to break traffic laws, which puts pedestrians in extreme danger. Because pedestrians are not protected, it’s easier for them to sustain serious injuries that could lead to fatalities.
