Houston, TX – Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Maxey Rd

Houston, TX (July 28, 2019) On the evening of July 27th, a fatal pedestrian accident happened on Maxey Road, not far from Church Road. Three vehicles struck a pedestrian in front of a fire station. The accident happened at around 10:00 p.m.

Since the accident occurred right in front of a fire station, firefighters saw what happened and immediately rushed the injured pedestrian to the closest hospital. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.

Fortunately, at least one of the drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased man as they grieve over his loss.

Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Houston, TX – Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Maxey RdIn 2018, studies confirm that Texas had the third-highest number of pedestrian fatalities from the months of January to June. When pedestrian accidents happen late at night, causes are often distracted driving, drowsing driving, or driving while inebriated. If the streets are poorly lit, it is even easier for drivers to seriously harm pedestrians and potentially take their lives under these circumstances. Therefore, it’s important for families to immediately seek legal representation from an experienced Texas wrongful death attorney.

At Benton Law Firm, our experienced Texas attorneys have specialized in wrongful death lawsuits for over two decades. We believe families should not have to pay for damages and losses caused by other drivers, especially if the accident was preventable.
