San Antonio, TX – 1 Injured in DUI Accident on San Pedro Ave

San Antonio, TX (July 28, 2019) On the 27th of July, a DUI accident happened in the 700 block of San Pedro Avenue. A white vehicle failed to stop at a red light and hit another vehicle at the intersection. The impact of the accident caused the white vehicle to spin out of control until it came to a stop in a McDonald’s parking lot. The accident happened at around 10:15 p.m.

When emergency responders arrived to assist everyone involved, they found the driver in the white vehicle under the influence and immediately arrested him. The other driver sustained injuries and was tended to by the paramedics.

Authorities are still investigating the collision.

Our thoughts are with the injured driver and their family at this time.

DUI Accidents in Texas

In 2018, almost 1,000 people lost their lives in DUI accidents throughout Texas. Studies also reveal that most DUI accidents occur in the middle of the night on weekends. Once drivers have consumed too much alcohol, they turn irrational and make dangerous life choices, such as getting behind the wheel. Ultimately, they put themselves and everyone in their surroundings at risk of losing their lives.
