Austin, TX – Casey Ballard Killed In Interstate 35 Crash

Austin, TX (July 29, 2019) – On July 24, just before 1:30 a.m., Austin Police Department and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 1100 block of South Interstate Highway 35.

According to reports, 24-year-old Casey Ballard was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a driver in a red 2001 Nissan Frontier pickup truck. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers on site.

Ballard sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
