Gainesville, TX – Plane Crash Near Gainesville Municipal Airport Results In 2 Fatalities
Gainesville, TX (July 29, 2019)- Just after 4 p.m. on July 28, emergency crews responded to the scene of a plane accident near the Gainesville Municipal Airport.
According to reports, a Piper PA-34 airplane crashed in the area while preparing to land.
As the plane crashed, just one-quarter mile from the runway, the vehicle burst into flames.
Two people were inside at the time of the incident. One victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second victim was transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas where they later succumbed to their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
