Houston, TX – Construction Site Accident On N Main St Leaves 9 Injured
Houston, TX (July 30, 2019) – On Monday, July 28, the Houston Fire Department responded to the scene of a construction site accident in the 3400 block of North Main Street.
According to reports, a crew of fifteen workers was at the construction site working on the building when a roof collapsed on top of several of them. Reports from the scene show that several workers were pouring concrete on the seventh floor when the roof on the building gave away. As a result, seven workers fell through the floor.
Two of the workers inside the building had to be rescued with a ladder truck. All other workers were able to self-evacuate from the building.
In all, nine workers were hospitalized following the incident with injuries of various degrees.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
