Houston, TX (August 5, 2019) – On August 5, around 3 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Beltway 8.

Reports from the Houston Police Department indicate that a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided along the roadway for unknown reasons near TC Jester Blvd.

The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to burst into flames.

The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
