Houston, TX- Collision on the North Freeway Sends One To Hospital
Houston, TX (August 12, 2019) – On August 11, around 5:40 a.m., the Houston Police Department received the request for assistance regarding a pedestrian accident on the North Freeway.
Reports from police indicate that a man pulled his vehicle off to the right shoulder of the North Freeway, near West Road, to change the tire after a blowout. While working on the vehicle, it was struck from the rear by a white Mazda. The impact sent the victim through the windshield of the Mazda, causing his leg to suffer extensive injuries.
The injured victim also sustained head injuries and multiple broken bones and was transported to an area hospital.
Reports indicate that the Mazda crashed into two other vehicles before the driver fled the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
