Smith County, TX – UPDATE: Donald Glenn Cooper ID’d As Fire Victim on CR 220

Smith County, TX (August 13, 2019) – On Monday, August 12, emergency crews responded to a fire in the 13800 block of County Road 220.

Reports from the scene indicate that crews arrived within minutes to a fire at a residence in the area. After extinguishing the fire, crews found the body of an unresponsive male.

The man was provided CPR and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Authorities later confirmed the victim, who was identified as 49-year-old Donald Glenn Cooper, succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
